Someone being outed as a pedophile for something they did when they where 16.

Someone used a video to expose someone as a pedophile instead of contacting the authority's first. Now this person has gone in to hiding. Is this obstructing justice. Also the one getting called a paedophile was only 16 at the time. He is being called this because he sent pictures to a 14 year old. Sorry if this is not the type of thing you deal with I'm just looking for some awnsers as this will cost him his current job.
