Abandoned belongings?

We had somone stay on our property for a while. <p>Eventualy he left but he left many of his belongings behind including a camper trailer he was staying in.</p> <p>It's been a year since, and we haven't seen or heard from him since then.</p> <p>Now we want to get rid of the stuff he left behind. Whet requrements are needed to dispose of the belongings?</p>

There are several factors to consider. If you had a legally binding contract then you must abide its terms and conditions. Did they pay rent? Are you able to reasonably ascertain the persons whereabouts? Generally speaking I believe you will have to make reasonable efforts to contact them and give a reasonable period of time for them to remove their belongings but that isn't to say that you can't charge them that is if you had a contract with them.
