Thank you for your question.  As I am not licensed in Arkansas, I am not familiar with the Statute of Limitations there.  You would need to consult an attorney in the state where the battery actually took place.  In Alabama, to file a criminal claim of battery, it is preferred that you file a report as soon as possible following the incident.  However, there is no deadline to do so.  To file a civil claim for damages in Alabama, you must do so within six years from the date of the incident.
