North dakota company tryign to file fraud charges in texas

I work in North Dakota and had about 30k fraud occured on one of my company cards in the state of Texas. I was advised that i needed to file a police report, but that it had to be in Texas where the fraud occured. This is abotu a nine hour drive for me and 3.5 hour flight, which booked at the last minute is another $1k I willbe out on top of the fraudulent charges.
My question is can the paperwork not be sent to me and completed, notarized and sent back to them certified? I am hoping there is an easier solution than me travelign across the country to file a charge, it almost seems as if I am the victim yet being punisihed. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Best,

NAME Removed by Administrator
