WikiLeaks founder Julian Assange was denied bail in a British court on Tuesday and will remain behind bars until his next appearance on Dec. 14. In handing down his decision in the City of Westminster Magistrates' Court in London, Judge Howard Riddle said he had "substantial grounds" to believe Assange would not appear for an extradition hearing. Sweden is seeking Assange's return to face allegations of sex crimes. |
