'Barefoot Bandit' indicted in Seattle

A U.S. teenager dubbed the "Barefoot Bandit," who is accused in a two-year string of thefts from Washington state to the Caribbean, has been indicted by a federal grand jury in Seattle.

The U.S. Attorney's office said Colton Harris-Moore, 19, was indicted Wednesday on charges including interstate transportation of a stolen aircraft and being a fugitive in possession of a firearm.

Harris-Moore was nicknamed the "Barefoot Bandit" because police said he wore no shoes during some of the thefts he's accused of committing. He also allegedly drew chalk-outline feet all over the floor of a grocery store during a burglary in Washington state's San Juan Islands.
