Suspected Terrorists Arrested Before Leaving US
|
Mon Jun 7, 2010 The Justice Department has arrested two men who were planning on traveling to Somalia to join a group affiliated with Al-Qaida. The men were allegedly planning on training overseas, and then carrying out acts of terrorism. The two men were at JFK airport in New York, where they were going to board separate flights to Egypt, and then onto Somalia. The men have been under investigation for over four years ago. Last year, one of the men told an undercover agent that once he left, he would never come back unless he was ordered to do something. Allegedly, the men then discussed various ways to attack Americans both at home and abroad. Both men are scheduled to appear in federal court today. |
