BP Turns to Kevin Costner to Clean Up Oil Spill
|
Fri May 21, 2010 BP, the company behind the massive oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico, is turning to Kevin Costner to help clean up the spill. The US government has been involved in cleanup efforts, but President Obama has been adamant that BP is responsible for all clean up costs. Costner's company, Costner Industries Nevada Corp., created a device called the Ocean Therapy machine. The device allegedly works like a big vacuum cleaner--sucking in contaminated water, and pumping out 97% seawater. The device was created in part by Costner's brother, who is an engineer. The company has donated six of the machines to BP to see if they can help contain the spill. Kevin Costner & Trial Lawyer Partner Come to BP’s Aid With Oil Spill ‘Vacuum Cleaner’ | ABA Journal |
