34 cocaine packs removed from mans gut

A Toronto man who required surgery after ingesting 45 cocaine packages the size of ping-pong balls has been charged with drug offences, police say.

The 31-year-old admitted himself to hospital and told staff he had ingested the packages in Jamaica on Jan. 7, police said.
