A first-degree murder trial for a man accused in one of Manitoba's most notorious homicide cases begins Monday in a Winnipeg courtroom. Mark Edward Grant, 46, has pleaded not guilty to killing schoolgirl Candace Derksen more than 20 years ago. Derksen was 13 when she vanished while walking to her East Kildonan home from the Mennonite Brethren Collegiate on the afternoon of Nov. 30, 1984. |
