Stabbed RCMP rookie still makes arrest

A rookie RCMP officer who was stabbed in the arm by a suspect in North Vancouver still managed to arrest the man after shocking him with a stun gun, police say. Insp. Al Ramey said the incident began with a complaint about a suspicious vehicle on Emerson Court in the Seymour Heights nieghbourhood at about 9:30 p.m. PT. "A member with six months' experience attended the scene and was confronted by a man brandishing a knife," Ramey said. "The man attacked our police officer, cutting him severely in the forearm. |
