The province of Nova Scotia will be in court next year to justify an anti-smoking law that has been deemed a Charter violation. Trial dates were set Wednesday for the next round of a legal battle between the province and a Kentville store owner. The Tobacco Access Act requires cigarettes, cigars and tobacco products to be displayed under the counter. It's part of the province's strategy to lower smoking rates. |
