Peshdary gets bail as RCMP probe alleged plot

Awso Peshdary, an Ottawa man detained on assault charges while under surveillance during an RCMP anti-terrorism investigation, has been granted bail. Peshdary, 20, is not facing any charges related to the terrorism probe, but faces charges of domestic assault and uttering threats. He was released Friday after his father and sister posted $8,000 in bail. A judge granted his release on condition that he stay away from his wife, not own any weapons and not apply for a passport. |
