Conrad Black can't come to Canada
|
Wed Jul 21, 2010 CBC News Conrad Black will be let out of prison on a $2-million bond but will not be permitted to leave the United States, U.S. District Court Judge Amy St. Eve has decided. Presiding over the Montreal-born Black's bail hearing in Chicago, St. Eve is setting the conditions under which he will be released from custody. That might happen as early as Wednesday afternoon. Lawyers for Black argued earlier in the day in favour of the former media baron being allowed to return to Canada, where he owns a home in Toronto.
