Toronto man convicted in Iran nuclear case

Tue Jul 6, 2010 CBC News A Toronto man has been found guilty of trying to send devices to Iran that could be used to build nuclear weapons. An Ontario Court of Justice judge convicted Mahmoud Yadegari on Tuesday of nine of the 10 charges he was facing — he was acquitted of one count of forgery. He will be sentenced in Toronto on July 29. Yadegari, 36, was arrested in April 2009 after an eight-week investigation by the RCMP and the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.
