New York to Offer Antidiscrimination Protection to Transgender Individuals
|
Wed Dec 2, 2009 The governor of New York will sign an executive order that grants transgender individuals the protection of a anti-discrimination statute. The order will only grant protection to transgender individuals who are state employees and part of the executive branch. While critics are pointing to the fact many other states have already passed similar statutes, there is little doubt the executive order provides broader protection then currently exists. |
