Penny Stainton's helpful guide to dealing with the Insurance Corp. of B.C. has ruffled some feathers at the provincial government's auto-insurance company.
Internet users can pick up free pointers on how not to get squeezed by ICBC adjusters by logging on to website icbcadvice.com.
There's also a book for sale -- a collection of 70 articles written by lawyers on how to avoid being denied an appropriate claim settlement.
Now, the retired teacher's company is being sued by ICBC for what it claims is copyright infringement.
ICBC marketing vice-president Jeff Schulz said the company is suing "to protect our customers from being misled into buying goods or services that they believe are approved, authorized or endorsed by ICBC when in fact they are not."
