With respect to your assets, if they have been acquired since the separation and your ex spouse has made no contribution to their acquisition or their maintenance and the assets have not been used by your ex for a family purpose, there would be no property claim in this regard, nor to the assets your new spouse would have. Any claims for spousal support, however, could be tied to the income generated by your assets and a separation agreement should be done or if you are formally married, a divorce should be done to complete matters.
