I'm permanent residence and came to Canada
in Vancouver, 1 month before. I got married in Iran with who is Iranian but
citizenship of Canada in Vancouver. After 2 years and 6 months when I arrived
here I find that he told me anything about him was wrong and he cheats me. At
this time I want to know if I can separate him or not, if yes how and when I
can do it. I will be appreciated to inform me in this regards.
thanks

A sponsored person does not need to stay in an unhappy or abusive relationship with the Canadian sponsor after arrival in Canada; however, the sponsored person will want to be certain there is a great deal of evidence that the marriage or partnership was genuine and entered into primarily for reasons other than immigration.
If one leaves a sponsor after a few weeks or months of arrival in Canada, it looks like a fraudulent marriage. Be ready to prove it was real. You should get a lawyer's opinion on whether the evidence you have is strong or weak. As long as you are not in danger, it is wise to get the lawyer's advice before leaving. Look for a free legal advice program in your area, or pay for a consultation.
