I am currently employed a Montreal Airport and had been working at one of the restaurants for about a month and half when I broke my collarbone during a hockey game outside of work. I had to take two months off and when I went back to tell them I could work again they told me my hours had been filled and that I no longer had the option of my old job and they said there was nothing open other then a few early hour shifts (I go to school and would'nt be able to do this). A couple weeks later my friend said they cant not give me my old job back and that I should sue them for it, but can I actually sue them for not giving me my old job back right away?

This is complicated and it depends on a few factors. If you are unionized, as I assume you are, then contact the union. If not, an employer must find an equivalent job for you upon your return from sick leave. It doesn't seem that happened.
