I have studied in canada as an internatinal student for 2 years (4 semesters). I applied for post grad work permit after my graduation and was waiting for 3 year work permit. but i dont know why i got only 1 year work permit . my passport is also not expiring so soon...its expiring in 2016.
While all my friends got 3 year work permit on same college letter and same application form.....
this is a major blunder by CIC....
I have no clue what to do now...
please advise.....i need to live in toronto and file PR in canadian experience class. but for that i need to find a job in NOC 0 A B,
please advise....

You should seek legal advice to ensure this was a CIC error. If it is, there are three approaches:
1) attend in-person at the local CIC office in your city with a copy of the PGWP application and the original one year permit.
2) contact the CIC Call Centre (they will likely say you cannot do #1 above, but do not assume that will be true). The CIC Call Centre may not be able to help you, and beware that although their agents do their best, they are neither officers nor lawyers, and are there to provide general information, not give you legal advice. If the call centre agent gives you incorrect advice that you rely on, it will be your problem alone.
3) apply to the Case Processing Centre in Vegreville to have the application corrected. Put in the processings fees (if it is their error, they should not use the fees, but at least give them the choice to protect your interests).
