Falsely accused of racism in the workplace

I had a co-worker who is Black claim I made racist comments toward him and called him the "N" word and big lips. I was suspended while the investigation was underway and after all of HIS witnesses were interviewed, they all claimed he was lying or that the incidents he described did not happen, which they did not. Can I sue the guy for slander or libel?
