Auto scam

6 days ago we purchased a car thru a private seller. Took to the shop for oil change today. I also found out that there is a large list of repairs that need to be done to car. Prev. owner lied about basically everything about the car ie: year, kms, owners, previous repairs done. We have not switched the car into our name yet (legally we have 10 days to do so). Which means the car is still in prev. owners name still. ( we have the title of car ). We paid $7500 for this car. :( My question is: Is there anything that we can do legally to get our money back/sue/make them pay for repairs needed....

There are two options to consider here before making a judgment.
1. If you bought the car AS-IS.
2. If you bought it with safety and emission if needed.
If you bought the car with safety included, Yes, you have the legal right not privilege to ask for full refund of your money. Should the seller insist on not giving you back your money, your best option will be Small claims court application.
2. If you bought the car AS-IS with no guarantee, then you are out of luck.
You have two clauses here that are to your favor, they are as follows.
1. You are still within the 10 days deadline to transfer ownership.
2. You have not removed the name of the seller from the ownership slip, this means that he/she is still legally"Still" the owner of the vehicle.
Good luck.
