I was recently assulted, wrongfully accused of assult and theft humiliated by a loss prevention company working for canadian tire. He did not identify himself before he grabbed me before i left the store and threw me to the ground with a canadian tire employee helping him they pinned me to the floor in the store in front of customers and staff. They called police i was charged with assult and theft under even though i didnt do either. I went to court and they had no record of me or said charges. I have disabilities and this incident has added to them tremendously. I have ongoing mental as well as physical pain as well. Do i have grounds to sue the loss prevention company as well as canadian tire? And what field of law would this fall under? Is there a time limit to filr?
