Verbal contract cancelled, but they sent a paper contract out anyways.

TD Bank had called me to renew my mortgage at 2.89%. I accepted without thinking. At the time my wife was 9 months pregnant and father in his final days. Later that same day I called them back to cancel it to give myself time to think about it. They automatically sent a paper contract out in the mail which I received two weeks later. I signed and returned it to the bank, but they wont honour it, stating I verbally cancelled. I told them they shouldnt have sent the legal contract out, and that mistake is their fault not mine

Yes this issue is still in dispute after their second level investigation failed, ive now contacted the banks Ombudsman, which im sure will fail since they followed bank procedure, just ignoring the fact that they sent a legal contract out. I will proceed once the ombudsman fails
