Help!!!!

I was in a rush and had sun stroke .... bottom line really bad day.... I was going to buy two items(which turned out to be testers) and products equaling $20 approx. I went to the pharmacy to get my prescription when I noticed that my husband had taken my card and not replaced it. Not thinking of it, I left the store and returned to get my prescription completely forgetting about my purchase. When I realized what I did I was going to go and explain but I then received a call from the store three times but no message was left. I went to the store a couple of days later and the pharmacist had indicated that the manager had tried to contact me regarding the incident and caught on camera. I'm so unbelievably embarrassed and I want to go and explain what happened but I don't know if I should?? I haven't heard anything from them except for the phone call the day after. Do you think they have notified the police??Will this go to court and go on my record/background check? I'm sooooo scared!!!!! I don't know what to do

If the store presses charges, then you may be charged with theft. However, it is up to the Crown to prove you are guilty, should the establishment pursue this route. If you are charged with something, you will be notified.

Feel free to get in touch if you would like to discuss further. Our practice areas include criminal, human rights laws and landlord and tenant board issues. You can call and text me at 647-360-7182.
