I am starting a website that lists all open opportunities at food banks in Toronto. The purpose is for users (i.e., people going to the site) to be able to see open opportunities to volunteer at food banks and get in touch with the respective non-profits. This service: - Is 100% provided for free - Generates absolutely no revenue whatsoever (no ads, no fees for use) - Receives no funding (I self-fund everything, which is really just the cost of the website hosting) - Has no employees (it is just me) I know usually charities register since they can get tax advantages, but would my organization need to register? I will never want to convert this to a revenue generating business. I would ideally like to operate unregistered and want an opinion as to what I should do. In essence, it is like a listing service but for volunteer opportunities.
