Hello.I want to inquire about marital rape laws in Canada. If a non-Canadian couple, say Indian applicants for Canadian Permanent Residents or Indians on work visa, experiences marital rape, can the victim seek help from the Canadian government? Do foreigners who commit crimes to each other on Canadian soil abide with Canadian law? Or does the victim in this case go back to India and seek legal help there? And what if such laws are different in India? They don't acknowledge marital rape, but Canada criminalizes it. The crime happens on Canadian soil. What should the victim do now to protect their rights? This will be used for literary reasons.Thank you so much
