Hello. I am a 17 years old boy from Albania, Europe. My family is having a very bad situation right now, its about life matters. We are being threatened, but anyways. I want to come to Canada and seek for asylum. To get a visa, I've thought to register in a summer camp in toronto, so they can send me a invitation letter to get a visa. When I land in Toronto, can I seek asylum? The real question is will I have the right to seek asylum because the summer camp will be provided a letter signed by my parents wchich is like a custodianship declaration? Will they (summer camp staff) have the legal authority to take me and deport me to Albania, even though I have made an asylum request? Please help me. Rough times here. Thanks

No one can prevent you from making a refugee claim when you are in Canada. The question is though whether or not you will be accepted as a refugee after the determination of your claim. It's a complex process, so I will advise you to consult my office upon your arrival.
