I live in a 3 bedroom apartment in a house. We take up the 2nd and 3rd floor of a house. The landlord lives on the 1st floor. I have lived here for 15 years with much incident. Our landlord picks and chooses who lives in the house, not us. This roommate has lived in the house for about 2.5 years. His room is right above mine. He has treated me like less than an animal most of the time he's been here. He eats my food, throws my food out, moves my food etc. The most recent thing he started doing is stomping on the floor, which of course is my ceiling. This goes on ALL day. I wrote my landlord an email and asked him to tell him to stop and even went downstairs yesterday to talk to the landlord, after the roommate was stomping ALL DAY. The landlord agreed that he would tell him to stop by text or email. Well lo and behold, the roommate calmed down mostly last night, but lo and behold, he started stomping as soon as he woke up this morning and it's been going on ever since. Is there something I can do about this? I am to the point that if he isn't going to listen to anyone, will he hurt me? We are not talking about a teenager here, he is 34 years old.
