Got caught shoplifting at winners

Got caught shoplifting at winners, they took the stuff back which was under 30$, took my picture and a picture of my drivers license and told me i was lucky they werent charging me with theft. They banned me for 5 years. I guess my questions are :can they still charge me even though they got everything back and told me i would not get charged?I know ill have to pay some sort of fine for them taking extra time to catch me, how much will it be for?Im really worried that they'll change their minds and decide to charge me and theyll come looking for me at my house.

Although, technically, the police can be called and they can lay charges even after the incident took place, it would be extremely unlikely, if not unheard of, for that to happen in a very minor shoplifting (Theft Under $5,000) incident.  If they intended on calling the police, you would have been held in a loss prevention office while the police were contacted, and until they showed up.
