Quick Start Guide

How to ask a question:

1. Sign in. If you don't have an account yet, get one free by Registering.
2. Choose a legal category in the section below called ASK A LAWYER. If you're not sure which category your question falls under, choose the first category called General Legal Questions.
3. Click the NEW QUESTION button, and enter a summary of your question in the Subject field. Then fill out more details in body section below.
4. Click Additional Options and check Notify me of replies so that you'll know when a Lawyer answers your question, or someone comments on your question.
5. Click Post.

How to Use this Forum

This forum is a place for everyone to ask for and receive advice in a relaxed environment, discuss legal issues, and the MoralityMeter topic of the week. Spam messages, hate messages, vulgarity and so forth will not be tolerated and will result in your post and possibly your account on the forum deleted.

If you want to ask a question of a lawyer, use the "ASK A LAWYER" section. When posting a question, please be sure to include your province, territory, or state so that a lawyer from your area can answer your question.

To post a new question, click on the legal category you wish to post to and click "New Question" on the top right corner. Type your message and click "Post" at the bottom of the message window. Please do not include any personal information in your post - it is visible to everyone on the forum.
